Close Distant

Birds fluttering in hay
Dreams closing the day
In the solitude of dusk
I stroll and wonder why
People close to heart
Are missing in twilight
Some of them are lost
Some are out of sight.

As night swiftly rolls
Dreams take up new goals
Gently whispers the dawn
Chirrups echo the sky
Suddenly I am delighted
As I stumble upon
Some old, lost relations
That inspire me stay on.

When one door closes
The other one opens
But my unsettled mind
Always has a thought
People may meet
And people may part
Can distance alone
Change their heart?
